System for transferring bar-code information on stamps
December, 2001Client: A large Moscow producer of stamps and seals
Description: The program identifies and decodes information stored in 2-dimensional bar codes. Up to 1KB of information is stored on a two-dimensional bar code drawn on the stamp block. The information may include taxpayer number, OKPO (Russian national registrar of businesses and organizations), OKONKh (Russian classifier of types of activity), etc. The system we developed helps read a multi-dimensional bar code using a conventional scanner. We have developed specific algorithms of code identification and error correction to address occasional information loss due to indistinct stamp print or other distortions, specific to stamps and seals.

Dear Arie,
Most likely you are talking about a technology like the one we have developed for Logotest: http://www.moiright.ru/en/. We are open to further discussion.
Warmest regards,
Nick.
