Nurturing the team spirit at NTR/Tomsk
July, 2006No company can sustain success without a team of professionals who are well organized, highly motivated and united by a strong corporate culture.
One significant decision to foster growth was made early on by our management - English training for all employees. The classes are conducted on three levels - elementary, intermediate and advanced.

We know that we’re lucky to work for a company that understands the appeal of capering in a warm summer shower before heading back to work - and we understand the caveat of not dripping on our computers!

Our culture sustains our hard work by giving us the opportunity to party-hearty at other times.

Another sign of sustainable corporate culture is NTR’s family-like atmosphere. We enjoy sharing both personal and public holidays - birthdays, New Year, weddings, child birth, graduation - together with, what else, incredible food.

Our average staff age of 25.4 years (which helps explain our cavorting in the summer rain) dictates our choice of active recreation for our group activities. Fortunately, NTR oldsters (over 30) are in great shape and join in the fun.
In May and June 2006, our Tomsk office team went on two bike-tours followed by eating barbecue, playing volleyball and swimming in a lake.

Once we even played paintball…

We solve our recreational problems with the same skill and expertise as those at work. If someone’s tire goes flat, we all stop and our bike-experts fix it.

We have lots more in store for us this summer. In July, we’re going to spend a weekend in Novosibirsk; we plan to try strike ball; we’re definitely going on several more bike-tours; and some of us even plan to try skydiving!
