Corporate website for an organ installation company

Client: R.A. Daffer Church Organs, Inc.

Description: R.A. Daffer Church Organs provide a range of services around organ installation, which include removal of the existing organ, construction of pipe organ chests, delivery to the location and voicing.
They needed an inexpensive, easy-to-manage solution for their new website and NTR developers suggested Joomla content management system.
Along with building the site, we tutored the staff on how to update information, so they can edit, change or remove content quickly and easily.
Two sections of the site are of special interest to true organ music-lovers, the first presenting music samples to listen to online, and the second featuring the creation of an organ at the Rufatti Factory and Organ Rebuilding.

Website design with new features

Client: S.B. Smiths & Associates, Inc.

Description: S.B. Smiths & Associates, Inc is a company that designs and builds musical instruments. They required an easy-to-manage website, but wanted one that would show exactly how a musical instrument is made.

We chose Joomla content management system as the back end for its ease and convenience and a Flash-based slideshow of the process that creates a musical instrument masterpiece.

Integrating an existing website with a Joomla CMS

Client: Unionlinx

Description: Unionlinx is a full-cycle marketing communications agency. Their bilingual corporate website required dedicated IT resources for proper maintenance, additions and changes.

At our suggestion, a Joomla content management system was added as a backend to the site, this allowed non-technical staff to update existing pages, add new content, upload photos, etc.

Gay/lesbian community

Client: Rainbowfix.com

Description:
The initial website was developed by a different outsourcer and contained multiple bugs and malfunctioning features.

The client’s priority task was to clean up and improve the code, as well as implement the new functionality. To do this we

  • fixed bugs indicated by the client and others found by the NTR team;
  • converted database-related calls to an object-oriented wrapper resulting in a fluid, data-centered collection of classes;
  • increased protection to the system from SQL-injections;
  • introduced page caching with Memcached that speeded up page load time and reduced database load;
  • amended image storage structure, so that more files can be stored with substantially less stress to the server’s file system;
  • integrated Userplane webmessenger;
  • improved user’s session management;
  • added search-by-interest function;
  • improved “more like him/her” feature in the way that a CMS admin can manage the allowable variance of search parameters to broaden/narrow search results (matches);
  • added periodic recalculation of matches with email notifications and RSS updates.

Refactoring of a troubled portal

Client: PrintQ

Description: We took this project over from another developer. At that time, the website contained multiple bugs and lacked numerous required features.

The portal serves as a centralized data management tool. NTR was charged to provide smooth, error-free functioning of the current site allowing registered users to

  • store and retrieve packages of information;
  • manage and distribute documents electronically (collaborate and share);
  • track events (e.g., current revisions) online, including notification system;
  • keep document history;
  • control which users may list / view / download or edit documents;
  • upload and download multiple files;
  • access FTP for bulk file upload;
  • create online baskets and orders;
  • submit documents online for print in PrintQ office; and
  • scan and upload.

New real estate marketing system and website design

Client: RMO Media, a Florida-based marketing company

Description: New real estate marketing system and website design

The project focused on giving international RE investors a totally new, efficient, simple, automated way to stay abreast of all listings, old and new, that met their criteria as well as instant contact with the listing agents.

Using Agile process, based on Extreme programming, we developed MLSGuerilla, a system that regularly scans an investor-focused MLS (Multiple Listing Service), automatically retrieving new listing information including local-market due diligence and agent contact information. Simultaneously, investor information, preferences, and contact information are sent to the agent, setting up a dialog between them. Regular contact between realtor and investor helps to develop strong relationships smoothing future transactions.

Website maintenance, enhancement and redesign

Client: Large asset management company — a subsidiary of Allianz

Description: The goal of the redesign was to improve quality and usability of the client services area. Accomplishing this required substantial changes to the existing website, including better navigation and improved information handling. The changes allow all site visitors to get timely analytical information on the asset management market and early access to new offers.

Working together, our developers and designers added new client services enabling visitors to track changes in the cost of shares and calculate the profitability of various investment strategies for designated periods; free subscriptions to weekly and monthly analyst reports and reviews on Allianz’ union investment trusts; a User console that provides real-time information on ROI and the ability to act immediately on market change (launch Q1, 2008)

A yacht was chosen as the main design element, because it reflects the fast development pace of the company and emphasizes its innovative approach to using financial instruments.

Artificial Intelligence based technology for Internet white pages

NTR Lab has released the beta version of QuickHydra Advanced Internet White Pages. They present a dynamic database of businesses across the US, including type of business, location, exact address, phone number and email.

Unlike other white page listings that are created using human agents, QuickHydra’s innovative technology automatically extracts, analyzes and annotates the key information from public websites - from simple email addresses, and phone numbers, to difficult-to-capture physical addresses. To create this complex system, NTR used a proprietary, new technology with Artificial Intelligence elements.

Additionally, companies may register themselves to achieve an earlier listing.

Online store and website redesign for an insurance company

Client: Renaissance Life, a life insurance division of one of Russia’s largest insurance companies

Project: Renaissance Life has introduced a new life insurance policy for non-smokers that rewards them with a 30% discount and then followed up by selling the policies through an online store, thereby eliminating underwriting which resulted in substantial savings as compared to traditional procedures.

By integrating a creative business process with the correct technology, we helped create a new consumer service: selling insurance policies online.
